What Data Is Collected

FormVault automatically saves the values you enter into web form fields so they can be restored if the page is closed or refreshed unexpectedly. The types of fields saved include:

• Text inputs and textareas
• Select dropdowns
• Checkboxes and radio buttons
• Content-editable elements

Saved data is associated with the page URL so it can be matched to the correct form when you return.

What Data Is NOT Collected

• Passwords — password fields are never saved
• Credit card or payment information — these fields are always excluded
• Personal analytics or usage data — we collect none
• Cookies — FormVault does not set or read any cookies
• Browsing history — we do not track the sites you visit
• Account information — there are no accounts or sign-ups

How Data Is Stored

All saved form data is stored exclusively in your browser using chrome.storage.local. This is a local storage mechanism built into the browser. No data is ever transmitted to any external server, cloud service, or third party.

Saved data automatically expires and is deleted after a set period:

• Free tier: 7 days
• Paid tier: 90 days

Permissions

FormVault requests only the minimum browser permissions needed to function:

• storage — to save and retrieve form data locally
• alarms — to schedule automatic cleanup of expired data

How to Delete Your Data

You are in full control of your data at all times. To delete saved form entries, open the FormVault popup by clicking the extension icon in your browser toolbar. From there you can view and remove any saved data for any site.

Uninstalling the extension will also permanently delete all stored data.

Third-Party Services

FormVault does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services. There are no analytics platforms, advertising networks, or remote APIs involved.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Since FormVault collects no contact information, we encourage users to review this page periodically.
